Meet Your Instructor
My interest in massage started when I was a teenager. I remember going to a spa and having my first massage experience at a "brand name" hotel in Barbados in the 1990's. I used what money I saved from vacation jobs to do this and I remember how I felt after. Simply, like I'd never felt before, so calm, so light. From there, I would go back about twice a year to experience that feeling.
Many years later, I had a few friends that I wanted to share that experience with, that feeling that I got when I had a massage and decided to find out how to actually perform one myself. First, it was any book I could find, then I talked to massage therapists and teachers who could guide me, then I started trying these things out on my friends…
Fast forward a few months and my interest got more intense. Now it was time for massage school and formal training. I got my ITEC certification in Holistic massage in 2009 and have been a continual student and practitioner of massage therapy in its many modes ever since then. I started my professional spa journey the same year I graduated and now cater to a wide range of clients and also have taught many how to give more effective massages.
My hope is that I can provide you with the tools and knowledge to empower you to give excellent massages to your friends and family, those important people in your life, that you care about.
